The following are pictures of the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu (Latin for Where the Cock cried). This church marks the spot where the High Priest Caiaphas house laid in which he interrogated and imprisoned Jesus the night of Holy Thursday before He was handed over to Pontius Pilate. It also marks the spot where Saint Peter denied Our Lord Three Times, in earshot of where Jesus was being held. It is said in the Scripture that Jesus looked at Peter after the Third denial in the same way that Jewish Fathers during the time would look at their sons to forgive them of a wrong they just did. Father Fabian Lopez was the Main celebrant of the mass we had there at the Church.
Later that day, some of us had lunch at the Notre Dame Center of Jerusalem run by the Legionaries of Christ. We were also given a tour of an exhibit that the center currently has on the Shroud of Turin by some seminarians from the Archdioceses of Newark and Washington, DC who are currently studying at the North American College in Rome.
