The Basilica of the Agony, Garden of Gethsemani, Jerusalem - July 22, 2011 (Matthew Mac Donald)

On Friday, July 22, Our Group celebrated mass at the Church of the Agony of Our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemani, where Our Lord prayed after the Last Supper and was betrayed by Judas (Mt. 26:36-46). Father Fabian Lopez, the spiritual director of our pilgrimage was the main celebrant. On the way to the Church, we passed through the Lion's Gate (also known as the Gate of St. Stephen), and briefly stopped in the Church of the Flagellation on the Via Dolorosa.
